Modern Shaker Kitchen
As trusted Norwich kitchen installers and Norfolk kitchen designers, we were commissioned to create this beautifully balanced space using a modern Shaker style. This project focuses on clean lines and practical solutions, proving that a galley layout can feel incredibly spacious while remaining a warm, welcoming hub for the home.
The cabinetry is finished in a soft matt mussel colour, providing a sophisticated neutral tone that brings a sense of calm to the room. This is paired with mirror fleck laminate worktops, which add a stunning reflective quality that helps to bounce light around the workspace.
Innovative Solutions for a Spacious Galley
While this is a galley-style kitchen, it boasts plenty of open space for comfortable movement. A key requirement for the customer was finding a way to add extra warmth to the room, as there was only enough space for one radiator.
To solve this, we integrated a plinth heater into the design. These heaters are very economical and provide instant heat at floor level, ensuring the kitchen remains cosy without the need for additional bulky radiators that would take up wall space.

To keep the design uncluttered and highly functional, the kitchen incorporates all the standard modern appliances alongside clever integrated solutions, including:
- Integrated Dishwasher: Hidden behind a matching cabinet front for a seamless look.
- Integrated Bin: Tucked away to keep floor space clear and tidy.
- Double Oven: Built into cabinetry for a sleek, modern cooking area.
- Utility Space: Dedicated under-counter housing for a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Each appliance fits neatly into the handleless layout, ensuring the aesthetic remains consistent while delivering excellent everyday functionality.
